LA Film Awards

Steve has won an award for 'Best Score' on his work for 'The Light Keeper's Story' from the LA Film Awards.

The score uses a number of different concepts to help support the narrative. The young boy's main theme is played by a violin, and sung by a female voice (Barbara Moncayo) - the violin being one of the instruments played by Jewish prisoners in the concentration camps. The solo female voice was a representation of the boy's mother (and any mother in this time) - calling for her lost loved one to come home.
